Biography
Notably, Ersen spearheaded the creation of a one-of-a-kind, multi-level blockchain analysis certified compliance team, setting a new industry standard in regulatory oversight and fraud prevention for digital assets. This team, certified at three distinct levels, ensures comprehensive blockchain scrutiny and compliance monitoring, catering to the evolving needs of both regulators and market participants.
His extensive career includes pivotal roles, such as Chief Compliance Officer at the Nobel Prize-awarding Karolinska Institute, where he successfully overhauled compliance frameworks for one of Europe’s largest institutions, and heading the Compliance & Investigations team at Bird & Bird international law firm.
Ersen is a trusted advisor to public bodies, multinational corporations, and industry leaders, helping them navigate complex regulatory challenges. His expertise spans AML/CTF, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and data privacy. Ersen’s background also features litigation success, having led high-stakes legal battles at the Supreme Court.
